Robson Bight/Johnstone Strait

With the largest concentration of orca whales on the North American continent, the waters of Johnstone Strait offer some of the finest and most exciting opportunities in the world to paddle with orca's.

Over 400 orcas inhabit this coast and most of them return to the Vancouver Island - Johnstone Strait waters for the summer months to feed on the countless schools of salmon that run these waters annually. Each kayaking tour is specially designed to maximize the sightings of and encounters with orcas (killer whales), humpback whales, dolphins and other marine wildlife. Our kayaks are sleek and stealth craft, and very often, orca's will swim directly under our kayaks.

Other times they will pass just meters away from our shoreline campsites. It's a thrilling experience to behold and few encounters with animals in their own habitat can compare to these.
